SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES
DAYCARE / PRESCHOOL
A week before -
- You may want to schedule a haircut a few days before depending on if your child's hair goes into shock as soon as it's cut (like mine does).
- Superhero 2024 - let your child know they are your Superhero! We may ask them to pose like their favorite Superhero; they will recognize the wording and think of you. This in turn will naturally raise their self-esteem and produce a genuine smile when they are being photographed.
- Start thinking about what you want them to wear. The best options are what they are comfortable in and something you like too. If they are uncomfortable, it usually shows in the photos. We're shooting for happy school memories!
- If they wear glasses that are light sensitive, they will need to remove them or have a second pair that do not get dark in sunlight. Please fill out a 'Contact Us' form as early as possible if you would like us to photograph them both with and without glasses to have more options.
A couple of days before
- Remind them that they are going to have a fun photo day!
- Remind them they're your Superhero and ask them how Superhero's pose. Watch their confidence grow as they take that stance!
- Let them know you are proud of them and excited to see the photos because you love them and their lovable qualities.
- Make sure that the outfit - especially their top - is cleaned and pressed and easy to locate!
- Let them know that you're not going to coach them on how to smile or stand because the photographer will help them.
The Day of!
- Remind your child that today is going to be a change in routine, so they are prepared to meet a couple of new people and get out of the classroom for a little while.
- Please tell them to just have fun and listen to the photographer - she can be kind of silly and sometimes even bursts into song!
- Reinforce that they are your Superhero and maybe have them do a Superhero pose for you one last time.
- Remind them that they're sweet, kind, lovable and smart - and that's why you cherish them and are excited to see their photos (braces, glasses or a hair out of place and all).
